PURPOSE:
A dress code establishes continuity and discipline in class structure
while maintaining awareness on body placement and technique.
- Students and Parents are responsible for understanding Danceology’s
dress code.

You may purchase dancewear at our Boutique located in the storefront
of the studio. Danceology Boutique understands our dress code requirements,
carries approved brands and styles and gives all Danceology families
a percentage discount.
ATTIRE
- Please see attire requirements page for specifications and suggestions.

Street Clothes are not allowed in class at any time i.e. jeans, jackets,
blouses.
HAIR
- Some hairstyles may interfere with dance training. We require student’s
hair to be short & neat or pulled back & away from their face
at all times.

Ballet hairstyle for Girls is pulled back in a secure bun. Standard
hairstyle for Boys is short or pulled back in a ponytail if hair is
long.
- All classes other than Ballet require that the student’s hair
is pulled back from their face, in a secure ponytail or bun.

Students in violation of hair code will be required to correct their
hair prior to entering class.
ACCESORIES
- No watches or jewelry in class, with the exception of small, secure
earrings.
SHOES
- No canvas shoes or black sole sneakers.

Ballet Slippers must be properly sewn with elastic.

All taps on tap shoes must be checked and tightened before entering
class. Loose taps on tap shoes will not be admissible in class.
- Only leather soled jazz shoes allowed. No rubber shoes. No sneakers.
