Class Descriptions

4 yr Hip Hop:
Is your 4 yr old energetic and funky? If so, this is the class for them to get rid of some of that energy! Is your child shy and quiet? This class will help them come out of their shell!
The class begins with about 5-10 min of rhythm games. A large part of hip hop is being able to hear the beat in the music. After, there will be a warm-up and stretch followed by learning a routine. It is expected that the students obey. However, this class is a lot more relaxed than the 4 year combo. A perfect class for energetic boys! Don't let the name Hip Hop scare you away. The dancers will learn conservative dances. They will also be introduced to breakdancing! Class always ends with a fun activity followed by sticker time!

Beg Jazz:
This class will focus on flexibility and coordination. Starting with a warm-up, the dancers will focus on increasing their flexibility and their dancing ability. Then the dancers will travel accross the floor, followed by a center combination. This is a great place to start for someone who has never danced before! The students will work on similiar skills each week building confidence as the time passes.

Intermediate Technique:
Intermediate Techinique is a class that requires students to be focused and attentive. The class will include a quick warm-up and then jump right in to working on their dance technique. This class is taught at an advanced level for 5-8 yr olds. No music is played during the class and freeze dance is not a part of the class. If your student is interested in dancing at a competitive level, this is the class for them!

Cheer Dance:
These classes are very popular. Please call in advance to make sure there is room before attending! Similar to a Jazz class, this class will focus on flexibility and coordination. However, this class will in addition introduce the beginning elements of tumbling and tricks. The students will also have the opportunity to dance with pompoms! The first 20-30 min are spent on a warm-up & strength exercises. Then, the dancers will travel accross the floor with their dance technique. Each class will include a kickline, a sideline routine and improving jazz technique.
