Julie Pearson Julia Pearson has been a dance instructor for the past eight years specializing in children from the ages of 3 years old to 10 years old. She was a student of ballet, tap, jazz and musical theater at Kathy Haller School of Dance in LA for 5 years and a student of ballet, jazz and musical theater at Rozann Zimmerman Ballet Center in LA. This eventually led into her work as a student teacher for pre-ballet at Rozann Zimmerman Ballet Center. She was the assistant manager of Dance Connection, the Pacific Beach branch of California School of Ballet. Her experience in instruction is quite vast. She was the pre-ballet and beginning jazz instructor for the Academy of the Performing Arts, San Diego from 1999-2001. She was a children’s ballet, tap and jazz instructor for California Ballet School from 1999-2003, while also instructing their beginning level summer programs and ballerina birthday parties. Julia has also choreographed for numerous musical theater productions including Tied to the Tracks, Two from Galilee, Phantom of the Opry, Sound of Music and The Miracle Worker to name a few. Julia graduated from SDSU with a major in Theater. Given her experience and excellence, Ms Pearson has been instrumental in developing the tots program here at Danceology. She cultivates a very warm and inviting learning atmosphere. She is a very gifted children’s instructor – her tiny tots have grown to learn from her and love her.
