Pre School Tiny Tots Program

Here at Danceology we believe dance is for children of all ages and it is never too early to encourage a love and passion for the art. In saying that, we have created a tiny tot program that will assist and guide your little dancer on their journey of self expression and the discipline of dance.

 

SUMMER CAMPS

JUNE – AUGUST

For ages 3-5 years from 9am-12pm

June 25-29 – Princess Camp – Beauty & the Beast themed music & choreography with princess dress up for the Friday show. Arts, Crafts & Video will be themed around Belle.

July 9-13 – Pop Star Camp – Pop Music from Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez & more! Talent Show and Rock Concerts every day!!!

July 16-20 – Tea Party Camp – Children can bring their favorite teddy bear or doll daily and dance to Tea Party themed music and special choreography. Party Dress dress up for Friday show.

July 23-27 – Fairy Camp – Special fairy themed music and whimsical choreography… fairy wings can be worn every day at this camp! Arts, Crafts & Video will be themed around Tinkerbell.

August 6-10 – Cowgirl Camp – Country songs and choreography, braids and cowgirl hats will be worn for the Friday show and Arts, Crafts & Video will be themed around Jessie from Toy Story.

Toddler – 2 years – Musical Ballet – Monday, Friday, Saturday

Preschool – 3-4 years – Combo Ballet/Tap, Tot Jazz – Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

Beginning Level – 5-8 years – Tap, Lyrical, Ballet, Cheer Dance, Jazz, Hip Hop – Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday

BOYS ONLY Class – 5-11+ years, Hip Hop – Friday

 

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Toddlers

Our toddler class is a 45 minute long class that is designed for children 18 months to 2 years of age. This class highlights stretching, body articulation, creative movement, balance, dance vocabulary, and motor skills. Since for many students this their first exposure to a classroom environment, we put a lot of effort into creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for them to learn and grow in.

Tiny Tots 3/4 Combo

This hour long class is split into 30 minutes of ballet instruction and 30 minutes of tap instruction. In the ballet portion of the class, students will learn basic ballet skills and vocabulary as well as poise and proper body positioning. In tap, tiny tots are introduced to basic tap steps, terms and the beginning of rhythm and sound coordination. At this age we invite our students to participate in our annual Tiny Tot Holiday Show and our annual Studio Showcase.

3/4 year old Jazz Funk

Our jazz funk class is a pre-jazz class that introduces dancers to jazz technique. This is an energetic class that includes a cardiovascular warm up, stretching, and coordination exercises using upbeat and popular music. It is a fun, active class that promises to let your little sassy dancer shine. This class is invited to participate in our annual Tiny Tot Holiday Show and our annual Studio Showcase.

Beginning Ballet

This class is for dancers 5 years of age and above that are still in the beginning stages of their ballet training. They will be taught proper body alignment and positions, turnout, vocabulary and dance expression. Stretch and strengthening is also incorporated into this class. Ballet is the basic structure of many dance disciplines and will assist your dancer in their present and future training. This class is invited to participate in our annual Tiny Tot Holiday Show and our annual Studio Showcase.

Beginning Jazz

This class is for dancers 5 years of age and above that are still in the beginning stages of their jazz training. This class includes a cardiovascular warm up along with stretch and strengthening, basic body isolations and coordination exercises using upbeat and popular music. This class is invited to participate in our annual Tiny Tot Holiday Show and our annual Studio Showcase.

Beginning Hip-Hop

This class teaches musicality, rhythm, coordination, and age-appropriate hip hop choreography. This is a great class for students that want to take a fast and fun dance class. This class is invited to participate in our annual Tiny Tot Holiday Show and our annual Studio Showcase.

Boys Beginning Hip-Hop

This class teaches musicality, rhythm, coordination, and age-appropriate hip hop choreography for boys. This is a great class for your energetic son who wants to take a fast and fun dance class. This class is invited to participate in our annual Studio Showcase.
